Finding a Church

Two Sundays ago Tim and I woke up, got ready, and hopped on the 213 to head to Church. We had been to the church before, however it was our first week in Seoul, and we followed a returning staff member there. Apparently we did not pay enough attention as to how to get there. Tim had looked up directions, and therefore I just tagged along. One bus stop, Two bus stops, three bus stops... Me "are you sure you remember how to get there, I thought we needed to go to the left". Tim "no I remember we got off the bus walked a few blocks to the right and the church was there". Me "I remember the bus dropping us off right in front of the church." Four bus stops, five bus stops... Tim "lets get off at this one". Me "are you sure? I know this isn't where we got off last time" Tim gets off the bus, I follow. We walk, backtracking where the bus had just come from. One bus stop, two bus stops.... We just kept walking. Tim "I think it is up here on the left and a block over". So I follow. Me "yeah I don't remember this". We turn around and continue backtracking where the bus had been. Me "I know we can get there, we just have to cross those railroad tracks on the right". So we go over the railroad tracks Tim "this is how we got home last time, you're so smart". Me "this is how we got home, but I still wonder about the bus..." We make it to the church, and walk in. We go up the stairs, just as we did last time, however now there are like a million Koreans filling the chairs, stairs and asiles of the sanctuary, standing up singing hymns...in Korean. Me "uh I believe this is the Korean service". Tim "yeah." So we turned around a made our way back home. We would have stayed however there was absolutely no where to sit, and we wouldn't have understood a single word.
Don't worry, this Sunday (yesterday) we went with a fellow Memphian couple to a PCA church plant. The congregation consisted of 10 people. However, we really enjoyed it. We plan to visit again.

This is us dressed up for church, even though we didn't quite go...
