Chusok is a big holiday in Korea. It could be compared to Thanksgiving in the US. It is a holiday where families gather and give thanks for their relatives. They eat lots of foods, including Turkey and Rice Cakes (Songphyun). This past weekend was Chusok. We were out of school Thursday, Friday and Monday. Timmy's friend from college, Val, came to visit for a few days. Val works at a small school in YongPyong, an hour East of Seoul. Over the break we went to Seoul Tower with Val, showed her around our school, I had a girls night, went out to eat a lot, walked around Insadong (market or traditional Korean items), and spent a day in Seoul Forrest (as it sounds, a "forrest",more of a park, in the middle of Seoul).
