21 Week Visit

Wow! It has already been a month since our last doctors visit.

This was my second time visiting the Dr. at Hoson Women's Hospital. Hoson is just across the river from our school and where we live. Interestingly enough, no one, except for my doctor, speaks English at the Hospital. The first visit was interesting with that fact, however this visit went much smoother. They gave me a booklet to keep up with appointments and different information, like weight gain. All I have to do is walk in hand them the booklet, and I am signed in. Anyways, I won't go into much detail about it all, because it would take too long.

February Update:

Due Date: June 21, 2011

Gender: Male

Mom's total weight gain thus far: about 3kg (7 lbs) since my last visit
At my Dr. visit before we came home(Dec. 2), I was 64.2 kg = 142.6 lbs
January Dr. visit (6 weeks later) I was 65/66 kg = 145 lbs
February Dr. Visit (4 weeks later) I was 69 kg = 152 lbs

Dad to be: He is doing great and I can see he is becoming more and more excited about our son. FOOL gave Tim a birthday present by letting his dad feel him kick for the first time!!!!! Since then, whenever we sit on the couch at night or lay in bed, Tim reaches over and puts his hand on my belly to feel FOOL kicking. Tim is also showing excitement about my growing belly. He will randomly look at me and start laughing... it is pure joy!

Health of mom and baby: going strong, doing well! In the last month, I have started to really show. My pants no longer fit, and many people (parents at the school) have begun asking if I am pregnant. I love that I am showing! I feel like I am constantly growing, and that each week I am significantly bigger than the last. To me, this is a good thing, that means FOOL is continuing to grow and develop. I feel him ALL the time now. When I sit and when I lay he kicks and turns a lot. I think he will be an active one... like his father (please begin praying now!! (;  ).  I have been walking, doing the elliptical, and even running for about 30 minutes 3-4 times a week. Anyways, we have 1 month til our next visit on March 10, then 10 days after that we will be heading to Bali, Indonesia for Spring break, and what we are sort of considering our "baby moon".
