2 Months Old!

Titus is 2 months old! I can't believe it. I feel like I've been a mom forever, yet at the same time feel like he can't be 2 months old already... if you have kids, you know what I mean! Anyways, he is growing and developing at a magnificent rate! I can't express to you just how much I love him!

My favorite time of the day is after his morning feeding. I get him out of his crib and he's a little fussy because he's hungry, so I feed him right away. Once he is done, he just lays in my lap looking up at me and smiling. It is the most heartwarming smile I've ever seen!! I put off changing his diaper for a little while so I can just enjoy those precious moments!

Titus is now getting into a great routine! He wakes around 7 or 8am, feeds, plays for about an hour or so, then goes down for a nap... He typically sleeps 2 hours for this first nap of the day. Then he wakes, feeds, is up for about 40 minutes, then goes down for another nap which lasts anywhere from 40 min. to 1 1/2 hours. Then wakes, feeds, and is up for a while, depending on what we are doing (this is usually the time we are up at school). He will then take a short 40 minute nap before his next feeding and afterwards he will usually stay up til bedtime, 7pm. We have established a bedtime routine.. daddy bathes him, gets him dressed and swaddled, then I feed him and daddy puts him down! Timmy looks forward to his special time with Titus every night, and I love the connection he has with him!!! (also, he doesn't hardly cry when we put him down now... we know his schedule and know when he gets tired, so we can put him in his crib awake and he will eventually just fall asleep with very little fussing!) He sleeps from 7pm til 9 or 10 when we get him up (without waking him) and feed him so he can sleep through the night. He is so precious during this time, because he is SO OUT! When we pick him up he is complete dead weight and just melts into you. Timmy and I "fight" over who gets to get him because he is just so sweet and sound asleep! So, he will then sleep til about 5:30am (7hours!) and he feeds, gets a diaper change and is put right back to bed til he wakes up for the day around 7 or 8!

Let's see.. Titus' developments as of late:
1. Smiling a lot!
2. Turning his head left to right with ease.
3. Keeping eye contact for a long period (a few minutes)
4. Reacting to me "tickling" him.
5. Searching for our voices if he can't see us.
6. Trying to single out his thumb as he eats his hands.
7. Wiggles and moves in his crib which results in him turning
8. Sticking out his tongue.. I think he "discovered" it and so he licks his lips and just sticks it out randomly which is soo cute.

And... here he is...

Ahh!! I can't get over how amazing he is!
