During the afternoons of normal school days I shadow one of the boys in first grade who has Autism. I go with him to each of his activities, i.e. music, pe, art, reading, to help keep him focused on accomplishing his work. So, the first grade asked that I join them on their field trip; one, so I could help out, and two, so that I could have some fun "play time" with the boy I work with. It was just that fun play time!
The park had 2 sledding hills, a small one and a big one, they also had ice fishing, and moon bounces. We spent the day going between the 2 sledding hills, ice fishing, and had about 30- 50 minutes to eat lunch. It was cold, but we had a great time! Even all the teachers, TAs, and parent volunteers were aloud to sled! I sled a few times, some by myself, and some with the kids sitting in my lap.
Anyways, here are some of the pictures I was able to get
(sorry no pictures of kids faces due to privacy of the students- there are more pictures on my photography blog http://kristinlinnphotography.blogspot.com)
