Well, since Titus ended up being born July 1; the timing of my mom's visit ended up being better than I expected. Honestly I sort of wanted those 2 weeks by ourselves with him as originally planned, but I am grateful God knew what was in store.
My mom, grandmother name being Bobo (not pronounced Booboo) arrived July 4th and left July 11. We came home with Titus on July 3, so we had 1 night by ourselves; which went well, but that's not what this post is about.
The week with my mom was restful! Unfortunately I had A LOT of pain that week, believed to be from a bruised tailbone from Titus descending so quickly (4cm - 9 cm in 1 hour). So I spent most of the week laying on the couch watching my mom and Tim do all sorts of house projects... hanging curtains, cleaning, hanging picture frames, organizing, etc. I started feeling better after a few days, and we ended up going out to different places between feedings. Having my mom around made me, on our first outing, more confident. One of our outings was going to a little garden area on the way up to Seoul Tower, and doing a photo shoot with Titus (pictures posted below).
... Honestly, there was a lot that happened, but my mind just can't think of it all now. I do know that within that first week Titus grew a lot! Tim and I noticed a big difference between how little he was while we were in the hospital and when my mom left. He seemed much more sturdy and healthy.
Having my mom around allowed Tim and I to really enjoy Titus and get to know him without having to worry about household things. THANK YOU MOM!!!!!!!!! We appreciate all the help you gave us. You had such a servant heart. I am very grateful and appreciate that you didn't have the attitude of "I'm only here a week and want to hold Titus all the time". Granted you were thinking that, you allowed Tim and I our time with him as his parents.... I am very thankful for that as well!
I have been oober late on posting this because I was waiting to add pictures to it. The pictures are on Tim's computer and he has had it at school and I haven't had an opportunity to upload them. sorry. Hopefully I can get to it one day for you...
